The Quarry at Galloway
Rock and limestone excavated in the Galloway area has helped Springfield and the rest of the United States grow and develop over the last 100 years. Local architectural landmarks such as the historic Drury College Stone Chapel and St. John’s Episcopal Church were even built with limestone from the Quarry in Galloway.
The Story of
Quarry Town
There’s a story of growth, progress and development in Galloway: the quarry that opened in the 1880’s, the caves at Sequiota Park, a Missouri Conservation Fish Hatchery, and the Chadwick branch of the Frisco railroad. We are truly blessed to be a part of it with The Rock - Food & Friends.
